Have you written a response to one of my posts on your own site? Send me a webmention!

Webmentions are a way to notify me that you’ve linked to, replied to, or mentioned one of my posts on your website. If you’ve published a response and want to let me know about it, enter the details below.

What is a Webmention?

Webmentions are a web standard for conversations and interactions across websites. When you publish a post on your site that links to one of my posts, you can send me a webmention to let me know. Your response will then appear in the webmentions section at the bottom of my post.

How Does It Work?

  1. Publish a post on your website that links to one of my posts
  2. Copy the URL of your post (the source)
  3. Copy the URL of my post that you’re responding to (the target)
  4. Fill out the form above with both URLs
  5. Submit the form

Your post should appear in the webmentions section within a few minutes, though it can sometimes take longer. The webmention system will fetch your post’s content and display it appropriately based on the type of mention (reply, like, repost, etc.).

Automatic Webmentions

If your website supports automatic webmention sending, you don’t need to use this form—webmentions will be sent automatically when you publish a post that links to mine. Many static site generators and content management systems have plugins or built-in support for this.
