It’s simple. This is my Everyday Carry (EDC).

Wallet

I prefer a slim front pocket wallet that handles sweat (I live in a very hot climate). In most cases, I carry just a few cards and some emergency cash. I like to have extra room for the occasional hotel key or membership card. I’m currently on my second Nik’s Wallet, and I’ve been happy with it for years.

Knife (rotation)

Many people are divided on the sensibility of carrying a pocket knife. I carry mine as a tool, not as a weapon. With that mindset, there are almost limitless reasons to have and use one on a daily basis. I prefer thumb studs (as opposed to flippers, autos, etc). This is hardly an exhaustive list. In fact, the average normal person would be hard pressed to find something I haven’t used or handled.

Flashlight (rotation)

A flashlight is one of those things that most people can probably do without; however, the nature of my job requires one. Having said that, I recommend everyone at least have one on their keychain (it blows your phone flashlight away). These are three very practical options. The Wurkkos is amazing bang-for-your-buck value.

Pen (rotation)

I go through pens pretty fast, but these are the nice ones that keep resurfacing. I keep telling myself I’ll go down the fountain pen rabbit hole, but I haven’t done that yet. If you want a budget pen, the Uni-ball Signo DX 0.38 in Blue/Black is incredible (I stash them everywhere).

Bags

I’ve always liked the idea of carrying a sling of sorts, but I’ve never been able to make myself stick to that. I do have a few bags for various practical reasons though.

Other

Almost everyone has an EDC, even if they don’t recognize it as such. Most have things like keys (with any keychain attachments) and phones (with phone cases and grips) at a minimum. By the time you add in sunglasses, purses, watches, etc… well, that’s your EDC. Here are a few extra products I carry.
