Gerber Dime, Keyport Moca II Multitool, Coleman 27 Piece First Aid Kit, phone charger (without the cable unfortunately), sunscreen, handwipes, the “dad” wallet with all the health insurance cards, etc.
@willtmonroe I have a Gerber Dime Travel version I use when TSA-type security is a concern. Otherwise, I carry either a Leatherman Arc (default) or Micra (when weight is important).
I couldn’t get my hands on a TSA-friendly Dime last year so I got the Keyport for a long trip we took. Not in the same league but it served it’s purpose.
Nice. I have an original Firewire one, but I could not find any way to get that one working. It powers on, but the battery is pretty much kaput, and there are no adapters I could find to get it to work.
charger and cable (even with a Magsafe charger, I still prefer using cable), keys (with Yubikey), AirTag, alcohol, tissue and wet wipes, loyalty cards in Magsafe Wallet (wallet with cash and bank cards is in pocket). AirPods in pocket as well, with handkerchief and a small Rosary.
@jonah it’s humble and very compact but during a long trip it took care of the little things (e.g., cutting string, tightening screws, etc.) and I had no trouble with it in a variety of international airports.
@otaviocc Very nice. For the dice, is that for games/odds/etc or more fidget/fun? I’m a bit of a flashlight nerd. I’ve currently got a Zebralight SC64c LE and a FourSevens Mini Turbo MKIII. About to order a new D4V2. Did I say I was a nerd?
@plumey Oh man, I’m with you on that. I’ve gone through so many. I’ve determined I prefer smaller bags (partly because of weight, but mostly because of climate). My favorite so far is the Clever Supply Sidekick. They even put a longer strap on it for me (I’m 6’3”) at no extra charge.
dad-age, but not a dad. Wallet, keys, phone, mp3 player, airpods, pen, cough drops, and a Kindle Paperwhite.
when my daughter was young (she’s 38 now), I had a fanny pack with a brush, hair bands, barretts, child aspirin, band aids and wipes, etc
@xxxx What mp3 player? I’ve considered going that route a couple of times.
@hawaiiboy Mine has some similar stuff. I have a 7 year old son and a 4 year old daughter.
@pratik Similar to mine. I also have a small leatherman, small flashlight, bandaids, and hair bands (4yo daughter).

Usually either an iPod touch or this one.
@xxxx I have an old iPod. Click wheel and video screen. Need to see if there is a solid way to use that with modern devices.

@otaviocc Good choices. Any special dice? What kinds of flashlight?
@rom Nice choices. I need to throw an AirTag into mine. I think I have an extra.

very interesting to see what people are putting in their bags, but for me the most important question is which bag?
@plumey I use one of those TomToc slings :)

@rom It’s high on my list.
I’ve not seen this one! Might be slightly small as I want to carry my iPad mini but I’ll check it out! Thanks!
@plumey Yeah, it definitely wouldn’t fit an iPad Mini or Kindle sized device.
