Where Have I Been

I decided to jump on the trend of listing places visited. For my list, I’m limiting it to locations where I spent meaningful time (ex. no airport only stops).

I’ve spent way more time than I care to admit in Frankfurt, Germany (Interpol mixup, for real); London, England; and Seattle, Washington (USA). But they were all limited to airport adventures.

Another day with family, baseball, trampolines, and the outdoors.

A new tree for the yard. Planting in crocs. Being the heavier of the two of us, I ended up doing the digging. To her disappointment.

The building next to my office has been testing their fire alarm for two days. So that’s been pleasant.

If you have a Drafts Action, a good Shortcut you use, or any other Micro.blog specific automation/script, let me know. Interested to see what’s out there.

Does anyone use a self-hosted (or at least custom domain-ed) image sharing service? Something similar to Imgur, perhaps?

What apps are you using for each service? Mine are:

  • Micro.blog: Official App
  • Bluesky: Official App & Ivory
  • Mastodon: Ivory
  • Reddit: Official App

She could spend her entire lifetime in a backyard garden. It is, without a doubt, something that “sparks joy.” I’m thinking it’s time to add some more raised beds like she’s been asking.

A Blue Bell and Dr. Pepper collab? Be still, my Texan heart.

I’m going to push out an update to the Tiny Theme for Micro.blog today that adds a few features. First, all posts (in the feed and on individual posts) include a CSS class that matches the category(ies) of that post. This will allow you to style individual posts differently based on the category. For example, you could format Microposts differently than Links which could different than Longform content or Images. I also added support for Microformats and a new paragraph class (.note) that allows for simple callouts in posts.

Any watch lovers out there? I’m selling a Seiko 5 GMT SSK003 for $325 shipped US. It does have a scratch on the crystal (can live with it, buff it, or replace it). Box, papers, links, etc included.

A friend of mine has been sharing photos from their trip to Isla Mujeres which reminded me of when we went 9 years ago. I think it’s time we go back!

I’ve updated Tiny Theme for Micro.blog with a few quick changes & bug fixes. Improved blockquotes, fixed horizontal scroll bug, added accessibility improvements, improved link styling, added pagination to category pages, & fixed alt text for logo. You can upgrade to 1.0.5 on the plugins page.
