Weekly Roundup 10 - Random Thoughts Edition
Today’s roundup will be a little different. Instead of focusing on 3-4 specific broader thoughts, I’m just gonna drop a handful of small tidbits. Straight to it…
Once you’re a husband, dad, and homeowner, you should really invest in quality tools as the need arises. Items like Knipex Cobra Pliers, Wera Tool Check Plus, and the Leatherman Arc are great places to start. Buy hand tools as you need them, but opt for quality if you ever see yourself using them more than a few times. I’m thinking of doing a quick video of my Leatherman Arc detailing accessories and mods I’ve made.
The feature on AppleTVs where you can connect multiple bluetooth headphones at once is one of the best unsung features of any Apple product. Speaking of Apple, I’m enjoying the new powerful Spotlight in macOS Tahoe. It’s obviously just beta 1 (and it does have issues), but it’s promising.
I currently have a gnat flying around my office that I can’t seem to eliminate. It’s driving me nuts.
Challenge me to game of chess. I’m a relative beginner.
I’m really considering getting a 3D printer from BambuLab, but I’m having trouble making a decision on which one to get. They really need one of those “take this quiz and we’ll tell you everything you should get” features on the site. Which version? Which size? What accessories? Which filament? Nozzles? Etc? Which or what?
I finished The Last Kingdom series by Bernard Cornwell a few weeks ago. I enjoyed it so much, I’m now starting one of his other series (Sharpe). I do the vast majority of my reading on the latest version Kindle Paperwhite. I source books either from Libby (ideally) or CloudLibrary (if necessary) when available, otherwise straight from Amazon. Our local library system recently switched from Libby to CloudLibrary, frustrating me to no end.
Until next week.
